Funding finders Ltd provides a variety of services to the Public, Private and voluntary sector.
Services range from Bid writing services, Finding funds, capacity building through to supporting organisations wishing to develop joint activities in EU new member State countries.

We can also provide training for organisations across Europe on accessing funding, bid writing, project management and record keeping.  This can be delivered at our residential premises in the UK or in any of the EU member states. 

Our Toolkits - Best Practice Guides to Project Evaluation, Monitoring and Financial Record Keeping is a guide to evidencing and monitoring financial spend and outcomes/achievements, and include example documents which can be used to ensure you have all the necessary evidence for audit, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination\valorisation purposes.

These toolkits can be amended to suit the needs and languages of the various EU member states.  We can also provide organisations with an external monitoring and evaluation service, which can be included in project budgets as an eligible expenditure, and is preferred by many funders to ensure unbiased evaluation and monitoring takes place.

FUNDING NEWS

The government has launched a competition for hostels and homelessness charities to win a share of £500,000. Organisations will be asked to submit innovative social enterprise ideas for preventing or tackling homelessness. Other prizes are for mentoring and a “make-over challenge”. GOVERNMENT NEWS

The Dept for Communities and Local Government has published a consultation on local petitions and calls for action. The main recommendation is to give local authorities a duty to respond to petitions of over 200 signatures or 5% of the population. The consultation also covers “councillor call for action” which enables local councillors to refer any issue to a scrutiny committee. CHILDCARE/EDUCATION NEWS

The National Council of Voluntary Childcare Organisations has published a new survey on the government’s new children’s fund. The fund was launched in November 2000, but as of April  this year, funding will be ringfenced, and local authorities have been given the power to decide how to use the money. The survey revealed that 65% of children’s fund managers expect voluntary and community sector services to be de-commissioned, 58% of service providers expect their project or service to come to an end in march 2008, and 38% of voluntary and community sector organisations expect to issue redundancy notices. HOUSING AND REGENERATION

A committee for the Dept of Communities and Local Government has voiced “significant disappointment” at the government’s response to a supplementary business rate. In its original report, the committee wanted councils to be given the power to vary the rate charged to businesses. The government response was to argue that a national cap was needed. COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY NEWS

The Institute for Public Policy Research has published a report claiming that six in ten poor households in the UK have someone in work, up ten percentage points on a decade ago. The report says that whilst work is the surest route out of poverty, it is far from an inevitable one. The report urges the government to improve wages at the bottom of the labour market.
