Our Toolkits - Best Practice Guides to Project Evaluation, Monitoring and Financial Record Keeping is a guide to evidencing and monitoring financial spend and outcomes/achievements, and include example documents which can be used to ensure you have all the necessary evidence for audit, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination\valorisation purposes.
These toolkits can be amended to suit the needs and languages of the various EU member states. We can also provide organisations with an external monitoring and evaluation service, which can be included in project budgets as an eligible expenditure, and is preferred by many funders to ensure unbiased evaluation and monitoring takes place.

Local Government Minister John Healey has announced £300million for the Local Authority Business Growth Incentive Scheme, which delivers financial rewards directly to councils that promote economic growth in their areas. John Healey said “The scheme ensures that every council has a direct financial incentive to promote enterprise, jobs and local business growth, helping them to boost our country’s economic potential” For more information see Local Authority Business Growth Incentive Scheme on our publications section.
As part of the Government’s plan to replace Incapacity Benefit with work-focused employment, incremental increases in benefit will be scrapped. At the moment Incapacity Benefit increases after six months and then a year. The new Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) will have no such increments. Work Secretary James Purnell said this is part of a “cultural shift” in the welfare system. “Work is the best route out of poverty and gives people independence”.
The Dept for Children, Schools and Families has launched a consultation on how to manage further waves of the Building Schools programme. The consultation recommends using different criteria to identify areas of need. One recommendation is to use areas of social regeneration, and another is to target areas of sustainable development. The government has published a consultation paper on sub-national economic development and regeneration. The review aims to maximise property in all parts of England by stimulating economic growth and improving housing supply. Some of the main recommendations are to allow city-regional bodies strategic planning powers, forums of local authority leaders will scrutinise Regional Development Agencies and will be given the power to sign off regional strategies, and new legislation to allow local authorities to create statutory city regional bodies in areas that want them. The Rockefeller Foundation is funding a study into a UK social stock exchange which would trade in shares in worthy enterprises. A spokesperson for the Foundation said it chose the UK as the site for the feasibility study partly because of government support for the enterprise.
